Hershey has announced plans to spend $90 million to expand its plant… in Mexico… a plan that Hershey claims will increase capacity there by 25%. Closer to home, The Hershey Company is also eyeing some expansion, with plans to build a huge 250,000 square-foot manufacturing plant in Derry Township on 55 acres it owns adjacent to the company’s Hershey West plant and close to the company’s technical center.
