Along with the colder temperatures comes the onset of flu season, and this year is projected to be a more severe flu season than the past several years. Despite that prediction, Americans are vaccine weary, and according to official projections, less than 50% of adults plan to get a flu shot this year. That compares to 57% who got immunized in 2021.
Typically, flu season starts in October, and it peaks from December through February.
